【意味】［ギ］psilos（裸の，毛がない）； gramma（文字，絵）。「無毛の文字」。
原記載「下唇鬚は，この亜科の他の種すべてとは異なって，第２節の内側表面に無毛の線が（第１節の無毛の線の続きとして）ある」。

【意味】［ラ］incretus（ふるいにかけられた），あるいは［ラ］in-（否定の接尾辞）； creta（チョーク，白亜）。
原記載に由来の記述なし。後者の「チョーク（色）でない」と解釈するならば，翅の地色からの印象。前者については分からない。
